    Hi (from South Africa),
Just thought I'd share some pictures of my 2010 6R Polo 1.6 (CR) TDI. 105hp (77kw). Was wondering what models you guys in Australia get? Also, mods etc performed on your TDI

              Welcome to the Forum!

I have spent a lot of time in SA... and a lot of time driving around there! It's a beautiful country to see from behind the wheel... while negotiating the other drivers and their "version" of the road rules!

I think it would be a blast to get around in a Diesel Polo... you're rather lucky!

                    Hi,

Congrats on the new polo. Looks beautiful! I'm also from SA and have a Bluemotion Polo which has a 1.2 TDI engine. I manage about 4.5-4.6 l/100 km, but that's mostly driving 120 km/h without much regard to the driving style. If I'm a bit more careful, consumption drops to 4 l/100, and if I pamper it then it does 3.6 l/100 km. Not too great when compared to the official figures...

<moan> Well now for the worst part - the turbo seized at 22000 km. Agent has no idea what caused it, waiting for parts ex Germany for the last week... I have a gut feeling it'll seize again soon.</moan>

                    Cheers, dl27

Some parts of the Northern Territory had no speed limit at all until a few years ago. Now it's 130 km/h tops.
