  • Bluetooth and new Polo, prices

My polo is due in two weeks and am shopping around for a price on the Bluetooth kit, I got quoted $650 and rang another dealer but they said that price was right... Was wondering what other people paid and want to know if the dealer fitted one integrates properly with the RCD 510? Thanks in advance

My dealer is saying $750 fully fitted and integrated and wont budge on that price.
I swear they're ripping me off but i need this fitted straight away to get the 3 year warranty

The bluetooth you guys are mentioning seems to be the basic unit, not the deluxe version which costs something like $1600. Kufatec bluetooth unit, which is equivalent to the deluxe VW unit is about $850 installed.

Sorry to be naive, but could't see a deluxe bluetooth kit available from the dealer. What is the deluxe unit? Does the basic unit not make use of the steering wheel controls etc?

The basic kit doesnt show names on the radio panel or contact list touch button dial

I got the Fiscon Kufatec bluetooth kit for $850 and it is great.

Same bloke that installs the same kit for the dealer

So i wonder what my dealer is talking about when quoting me $750?
I imagine it's just the basic.
So the Fiscon Kufatec is available from any VW dealer for $850?

No - I believe that is what they sell for $1,350

I didnt get a 3 year warranty that you would get if you bought it through the dealer

OK - here is the email VW sent me

                  Hi Barry,
There are a few options available for your Polo GTI in regards to Bluetooth connectivity. We have a 2 integrated options I have listed these below:-
                  - VW Standard Bluetooth: $840 Inc. GST & Labour
Once installed this system will mute your sound system and allow you to answer and hang up all phone calls via controls on your multi function steering wheel. This system is a basic system it cannot provide you with caller I.D or phone book access.
                  - Kufetec Advanced Bluetooth: $1380.00 Inc. GST & Labour
This system gives you access to your phonebook, out going, received and missed calls, ability to read messages and send pre-composed messages, adjust speaker and ringtone volumes and if your phone has MP3's you can even streamline music thru your phone to your car stereo. All of these functions are accessed thru your steering wheel controls and viewed through your touch screen radio - As this is a non genuine part for peace of mind this unit also comes with a 3 year warranty, I have pasted some displays for you to view below.

The pasted displays are exactly what I have

                  Have a look here

While talking to my dealer again to see if my car has been complied down at Patrick Auto Care, and i was talking about Bluetooth again and he said $690 for basic bluetooth and $790 for the Fiscon Kufatec one! So obviously i'm ganna go the Fiscon.
Seriously need to pickup my car already! Can't sleep!
