Engine shuddered like crazy this morning

77TSI, DSG, 18k kms

Driving on the freeway in peak hour traffic. Started to slow from 60 km/h......got to 30km/h, 3rd gear, and all of a sudden, the engine started bucking like the proverbial. Gave the car to the service department this arvo (@ OPVW). They hooked the diagnostics up to it, but couldn't find anything unusual. No software updates for the DSG, but there was one for the motor. Update applied.

Drove it home this arvo....totally different car. Responsive, power was on tap immediately. No more 'dead' accelarator at the lights....really wanted to get a move along. VERY VERY happy with the improvement. And no jerkiness, shuddering or flat spots, anywhere, period.

Did you notice more power or just tweaks that fine tuned the motor?

Which dealership do you go thru?

Not so much "more power", but available le power is actually available...not hesitating. Also, gear down-changes are now more noticeable, slightly aggressive....I almost thought was in Sport Mode this morning. All good. No more "Diesel rattle" at idle, or when pulling up to a stop at traffic lights.
