You will need to fit the 929 kg as the 930kg are for the diesel the 25/40 ride firm but not too hard and there is still some body roll, I might fit some heavier sway bars later.
A little unsure here but, are the used springs you have the 25/40 or 35/55?

I've discovered in the manual, the front axle weight rating on the GTI is 930kg.

        Gavs you were correct afterall!!

That is impressive. I can honestly say that I have not opened the manual on most of my cars in the last few years let alone read it cover to cover. Can I get you to read them for me and then give me a verbal summarised version? I just have no patience for those things. Lol

In these photos of yours....am I correct in saying the underground shots have the 25/40 and the grass shots have the 35/55?

Funnily enough i used to have an R33 GTR with Tein coilovers which were exactly between street and race and i thought they were awesome.
(I live in the country about an hour east of Melbourne)
I considered coilovers for the gti but chose just springs as i'm fairly sure the suspension isn't half bad in the gti, just sits a little high and soft for my liking.
Not to mention that i got the springs for $240 landed and coilovers would have been about $1300-1400 landed which is still pretty good for coilovers but i think too much of a price difference and considering i'm not really going to track the car i figure springs will do just fine.
My brother is getting a hoist soon so will be doing the install myself
Orange tuning aparently doesn't post to AUS, how did you manage to get a set of these?
I was going through Prestige Performance here in brissie and they quoted me $400 for a set

Email them. I ordered my set from them.

They will put through the order for you.

Mine got delivered early this week (about a two week delivery time). I paid 164 Euro which worked out to be about $225 AUD, that included delivery. They will be installed this weekend as well as the Whiteline sway bar....happy days indeed. Oh, when you email your order to Orange Tuning ask for Frank, really excellent guy to deal with. Now forum dwellers, should I sell my original springs? they have only done about 4500km. Next on the line (when I can save enough coin) is a set of Advanti Talon 17X7 in matt gunmetal (which allows me to keep my tyres). I originally wanted the OZ Racing Ultraleggera, but not at $500 a wheel.

Will post pics when they are installed and the car gets a wash!

Keep the stock springs mate, then you can swap them out when you go to sell the car and make se coin on the h&rs.
