Those are ugly fog lights, I found these and would not mind getting them. The only thing I will do is to wire them so that they come on when switching on the head lights and not use them as fog lights

Yep, because it is illegal accross the whole country to run fog lights when it is deemed by the officer involved the conditions do not require the use of fog lights. If the programming has been set for the fog lights to be used as the DRLs then the dealership the car was bought from needs to re configure the settings.
All australian specced cars should use the dipped beam / parker globe mounted in teh dipped beam.
Could the reflector and bulb not be changed to give a DRL option / effect though?
I suppose you could replace the reflector & bulb with some sort of LED DRL set-up. But if you're thinking of something similar looking to a fog light without the glare, you'll have trouble convincing a police officer that it's not a fog light. and that will only result in a higher fine, lol
That is what happened to my friend. As the police officer walked away my friends brother shouted something in the lines of "...only to reach your daily target...", thats when the officer pulled out his notepad

The Euro spec's DRL "fogs" look pretty cool IMO. And they don't have the dazzle to be mistaken for fogs (well I wouldn't write a ticket for them, but other less informed police might not be so convinced).
Didn't I read somewhere on here that the factory spec fogs have an additional globe not fitted for Aus delivery? Surely that's the DRL right? Sounds like an easy mod for a cool look...
