  • DSG Pop on Polo GTI?

Just wondering on peoples experiences with the new Polo GTI and how it compares to the DSG pop on a MK6 Golf GTI? Is it as prominent as the Golf, which is quite loud from outside the car and IMO sounds awesome. Hoping my Polo GTI sounds similar.

i'm guessing but, being twin-charged, its probably going to be more like the 1.4 Golf TSI i.e. not as prominant as the Golf GTI's bark

Mine's quite new so haven't driven it that hard- but there's barely a pop at all, no mattter how i try and shift with different accelerator loads. My Golf GTI is quite different- lots of character.

Tried to make it happen on the test drive, even redlining it I didn't notice the pop at all Hopefully Guy can coax it out with an exhaust

Would an exhaust have any effect or is it more to do with the engine set up?

Could be due to engine setup, never know though, could be as simple as a free-er flowing cat, could be as complex as a new turbo setup....

Intake might free some noise up - will let you know when we get to that stage.

they are a quiet little bugger.
