What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

what coil covers did you fit? Did they lower the ride height by much? What effect does that have of the electronic suspension change when you push the sport button. Or is that null now with the new suspension.

Today after some VAGCOM play i got Auto lock activated and alarm chirp on lock and unlock. Tried the extend the comfort indicators to 5 like i did on the R but won't let you input a value over 3.

If i get a chance to have a play again i'll try and write it down, its all in German so i had to use Google translate every time to look at different lines until i found the ones that activate the right things, then still a bit of trial and error. If your guy there has done other VAG's before he should be able to find them as the wording and location is pretty similar on the other VAG models.

Yeah cool, also note that they will need the latest VCDS update and a genuine cable as i tried if first with an old one and the menus were blank so i had to update to the current version 16.8

Harding tune, hg Carbon intake, rear muffler swap, absolute weapon now just looking to buy downpipe to get more top end I hope and found federal 595 rs-rr in 215-40-17 with all the right specs to be ordered on Tuesday

Those tyres look mean. Be keen to see some photos when they are fitted? and how they handle and ride?? I will be getting my aftermarket wheels refinished soon, in old school hyper silver, so could be good timing for me to get those tyres. Do you mind giving me price and where from? you can PM me.

I think your only option for downpipe is the Milltek because the euro ones will all be for LHD only, as 'Finforce' found out the hard way. I have the Milltek dp, makes a massive difference in performance BUT it's a pity these new type high flow cats generate enormous heat and the Milltek for the Polo does not have a heat shield - recommend wrapping but needs to be done before fitting, it fixed my problem with fresh air through vents being heated up slightly.

Yeah bang for buck they're great value. Apparently tread wear is low thought but grip is meant to be amazing, tires to you Sydney have them for $150 each plus delivery.
I believe none in aus till the 9th though. Going to put the fronts on and test them out.

Also guys the hg Carbon intake has mounting issues keeps dislodging from the intake slot at front and eventually will break. Really disappointed as it cost $890

Yes particularly at the top end as I think you predicted.

If you don't get the bracket aligned properly you get movement on the CF intake side of the intake. I noticed it was pulling out of the 'intake slot' in the grill but made sure the engine movement was absorbed by the concertina rubber hose & also used 3M double sided on the intake where it goes into the slot. This gave it some protection against 'rubbing' & also allowed some movement but restricting the overall amount it moved. I didn't use the screw holes but that may also alleviate the problem.
Adjusting the bracket & adding 3M worked for me

I'm not looking at a DP anymore but I sent Scorpion an email to see if they are likely to make a TBE exhaust for the Polo 6C GTi (no reply as yet) as they are also UK based.

I was also looking at a DP to marry up with my SuperSprint cat-back & they assured me it would fit RHD...
If you purchase from an AUS based retailer you at least have some protection as they will be taking the gamble not you.

I'd be getting the DP hpc coated if you're worried about the large amounts of heat that is generated. But this adds to the already silly prices being charged for some pipe and a cat converter.
