Ok cheers. I think this will be added to my list of things to do.

Just throwing it out there...but what are people's thoughts on adding to each side the car and maybe the bonnet... some custom large scale, color complimented, banded style racing decals with some smaller brand logos? Nothing too extreme though.

    • I think that anything done to the outside of the vehicle that is excessively eye-catching attracts unwanted attention - either police or ne'er-do-wells.

Yep understand that but considering my car is already vinyl wrapped army green, I don't believe it will make much difference at all.

You too Chris? Will you be replacing it with another VW?

Nah mate, I've decided to look elsewhere

And to the response above about "eye catching" I've had these mods for well over a year and police have said nothing but positive things at RBT stops with regards to my car as I've kept it "clean" rather than lowering, stancing or using aggressive kits and wheels.

I've not been pulled over or questioned once...but I am currently tapping the wooden desk as I type this post

I've been defected once. Pulled over with a warning once (in a more defect-able state [lower, stretched tyres, back tail lights, louder exhaust]), and had an RBT where the officer said he heard me coming, keep checking out the car but said nothing else.
All depends on what your doing at the time and what mood the officers are in.

Do I see a fuel consumption sticker?

                        • Yesterday I enjoyed the supercharger whine while driving it home through Hawthorn. So nice to be able to drive with the windows down and listen to it, even if traffic was heavy.

Then today I filled it up for the first time. TBH I'm really enjoying the low fuel consumption of this car even though I'm putting my foot down at every opportunity. Can't drive it like I stole it until it's run in.

Can't argue with that. Should come out good.
