What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)
also heard very good stories about the Eibach Pro Street coilovers, some say it is more comfortable then normal KW lowering springs setup (coming from a guy with this kit + 18" on his Bluemotion)
Got a dump pipe and high-flow cat installed today by CES Racing in Meadowbrook. Definitely some additional power and torque from this mod according to my arsometer, I'm now super keen to see what a tune/dump pipe combo can achieve as opposed to tuning a stock 77TSI. So somebody hurry up and crack the comms protocols for my stoopid ECU!

No joke my baby R project has so far only costed me around $1500
Searching for appropriate/slightly cheap cheap coilies then when the new wheels arrive slap them on
Yes, very much a custom job, after searching high and low for off-the-shelf products with no joy. With what I mentioned previously plus resonator delete and addition of a sweet looking exhaust tip, $1800. Yes, far from cheap but that's what you get with one-off jobs like this that turn out to be a major mission - it took them 2 hours just to pull everything apart as it's all a bit hard to get to with the 77TSI. It sounds pretty good over most of the rev range, going back to get a resonator put back in though to eliminate the tinny, buzzy rasp as it goes through 2000rpm. I didn't get this set up for the noise though (would have just got a cat-back otherwise), it's the quicker turbo spool up, reduced lag, freer mid-range and top end that I'm liking at the moment. Very, very noticeable gains.
Bigfoot, you're the guy with the 18 x 8 TSW's aren't you? And lowered 25/40 like mine, as I recall. I'm going to order some 18 x 8 alloys soonish and was wondering, have you had any rubbing issues, and what width/profile tyres are you running?
the 8J should be fine, its the ET value that i'm not sure about.. That's what may be causing the rim to come in too far and rub. I would go for ET30 as it has been proven to fit (would hate to buy new rims on a gamble to find out they dont fit)

yep that's me - 18x8 ET35 with 225/35 tyres and H&R springs
can turn full lock with no rubbing but some very minor rubbing (on the front, driver's side plastic inner-guard) if you hit a decent bump at speed.
just got back from the hunter valley and port stephens (crap country roads) with no dramas...just ticked over 4000km on the odo while i was there
would be keen on listening to a sound lip of your new exhaust if you get a chance
