I've just installed LED license plate lights on the GTI Polo.

I'm not sick of the car just yet but yes have driven a bit. I need something bigger, with a booty.

I've already ordered the new Skoda Octavia RS Wagon... everything spec'd, Glass Sunroof, Bi-Xenon Active Swivel headlamps, it's got the Sat Nav and 10spkr sound system, Auto Boot Open/Close, Tech pack (Adaptive cruise control which can change with car in front of you at speed, lane assist which might be good and car will stop if anything comes in from up to 50kph) Keyless entry and start.... you name it it's probably got it. Except Leather seats... every option except leather.

Thats where I'm at. Just don't trust it anymore. Took a mk7 gti out the other day and i actually prefer the polo...but I'm still getting rid of it.

Bummer mate... But I did the same thing and got me a mk7 GTI and I love it. You won't be disappointed. When do you take delivery?

That is what I wanted to do.. keep it until it's 5th year with my lease/shuttle mortgage... but it's out of warranty in January and i'm afraid at my cost, as was the Citroen I had before - I just don't want to go through the same thing and have issues outside of Warranty...

I'd like to trade it in when I get the new Skoda but my gf wants to sell the car privately... and i don't want it to come back and bite me if anything more comes up with it..

I really like the "Black Pack" they do too, with black wheels, black grille and I think blackened headlights? Blue (or white) RS wagon with black pack looks siiiiiiiick.

I sold rather than raded my Polo GTI and got almost 40% more for private sale than the dealer offered me. (14k vs $19.5k)

Chrome Pack, it has the dark Bi-Xenon headlamps.. my god they are awesome... I'm getting normal Silver wheels... though the options list in Aus for wheels suck. Stock RS wheels in silver... or two smoked wheels one in 18" and the other as posted above in 19"s... I want the 18" ones in Silver! Grrr....

Hey, just to mention LemonSkin.... I have an 8" touch screen inside... the biggest available and VW don't event have them in the 2014 Golf R

Sounds easy enough then...I didn't even notice it was split behind the strut so I'm glad that is case.

Fronts ended up being a bigger problem than the rears and won't fit without a spacer. I'm reordering new fronts.

yeah, thought the same thing... turned out to just be covered in dirt and a bit of road grease...

10 weeks but I am keeping the current fronts and will a run a 3mm spacer. Quite seriously though...the clearance over my front calipers just looks plain ridiculous but I'll wear it for 10 weeks.

Also received the black centre caps and valves yesterday. Rear tyres still 4 weeks away but I thinking I might run some cheapies in the meantime.

I haven't pulled the pin yet, still trying things out and will probably do something July/August. I know the mk7 gti is great...it just didn't grab me straight away like the polo did and felt detached and boring.

Hmmm I had a similar thought, at first I didn't feel as involved as the Polo made me feel, but over time that is fading into a massive grin every time I sit behind the wheel

Washed my polo for the first time in ages, forgot how good it looks when it's clean and it's sunny with blue skies outside, quite a pretty car IMO
