  • Polo GTI...when was yours built and when did it arrive?

    If anyone who's bought a Polo GTI could reply with their build date and when it arrived I'd really appreciate it.

    For the arrival, just plug the VIN into the "Cargo ID" field then hit track;

    The one I've bought seems to have (at least to me) a very early build date - early July - and it arrived in Australia in mid August and I'm trying to get an idea of whether this is expected or out of the ordinary...any dealers able to comment?

    It was built in Spain from what the VIN tells me...shipped from Germany, arrived in Port Kembla.

    Thanks!

    I reckon it's perfectly normal that it was built before it arrived

      My car was built in August and arrived in Aus in October.

      Currently coming to Sydney on a train. Should be here late this week or early next.

        Thanks Hooti3. A bit of a load off knowing that yours wasn't built much later than mine.

        Still, I'll be poking around with VCDS to see if I can find anything interesting not long after I get it home!
