Painted red would look good, but have you considered stick on Carbon Fibre? I know its not real but it could be effective?

Where did you get them from and how much?

I have a mate that could do that, but iv never been keen on carbon. I think reds the go, and for 50 to paint it I don't see why I coulnt change it in the future. So red it is for the time being.

I got these off the eBay. It was like 130 to my door. Way to expensive for these to mingy bits of plastic. But what ya gonna do.

Well it is, i have checked both the Reiger and the ABT rear kit, decals, front badge, rear badge etc etc.

This is all dependent on what type of Enthusiast you are, if you like to stick out like a sore thumb i would go full Reiger Body kit but then you lose the sheen of what is already a very sexy car (starts to hear fast and the furious music)...

The rear of the Reiger kit on the polo (if at standard ride height) looks nice.

However "personally" looking at the ABT rear skirt and the 72/75mm Exhaust setup it keeps the genuine aesthetics of the Polo, but makes the rear a bit more special.

In conclusion it is up to the individual buyer but i wouldn't want to put fiberglass on my car (Reiger) if she cracks you may be up a creek without a paddle.

So now its whether or not i would like to spend the $$$ for a small upgrade and centering the exhausts (and changing them to twins) or wait for Mr. Chong in China to make a copy.

However the Polo would look so damn sexy with it (honestly with some lowering coils and a bit of patience) the car may look like a baby R...we shall see.

P.S i may mix it up and get the Reiger side skirts, Bluemotion Grille, and Bluemotion front aero pack (if its available). It may sound like its bastardising the car but i "personally" see the car coming out quite well with this mix...suggestions?

you shouldn't have to wait too long. They have already started producing new Gen Golf for the Chinese domestic market (VW is the first foreign car maker to venture into China back in the days, and it remains a strong presence in the biggest car market in the world...)

They are however still making the old Polo in their factories, which should be ceased by next year, for the new lines to be installed.

I am not saying they would ever be making POLOs for OZ, no way, because the Chinese market consumes all the cars it could possibly make (the Shanghai VW joint venture already got 4 full car factories there producing just short of a million cars each year), and they drive on the different side of the road!

But the VW has always been popular there and quick search online will get you so many lower priced OEM parts for the VW of Chinese domestic market. Expect a flurry of new Gen POLO parts once it get into production!!!

Looks like my night has ended in frustration, just guttered my front left wheel, any idea how i can find out where to get a new 17' Boavista alloy wheel? its quite bad...and im feeling quite dirty with myself.

Edit: Just sent an email off to the service centre to see how bad my butt is going to feel when i get the quote back.

Might be a good chance to pay Tempe a visit. If the quote is exorbitant .

                    Have a look yourself.

If you want something OEM, they do sell replicas for VW. I am planning to get something 15in. Ride comfort still top of my list...

Speaking of that stuff, the missus copped a nice puncture on the front drivers wheel yesterday. Of course after everyone had closed. Only option for repair today is Kmart Tyre & Auto. Gonna have to watch them like a hawk, those gimps make me nervous when they touch nice rims.

Shouldn't be a problem, just have a coffee and let them do the work...

Kmart isn't a bad option, at least they wouldn't rip you off (too much) like others in desperate situations as they are well advertised.
