After Market Tweeters, Speakers, Sub systems for Polo Variants

Post here your research etc of Tweeters, speakers and subs that are able to be fitted in the standard housings currently in the Polo 77TSI, TDI or 1.4 (slow mobil )

6.5 inch fits in the front + rear door. It is quite shallow so you will have to space it out. A 1 inch tweeter will fit in the A-pillars. You have to take off a plastic cover that the oem tweeter is mounted into.

Be very careful taking the a-pillar covers off, they are very difficult but be patient. Also, disconnect - from battery so the airbag doesn't kill you

I have the Hertz HSK-165 fronts. It has a 6.5inch mid bass driver, and a 1 inch tweeter. I had to use two MDF spacers in each door, it's nearly one inch from memory.

It is really easy to run power through from the engine bay into the car, I will post up a pic of how to run it in later.

EDIT: Front and rear speakers are secured with rivets so you have to drill them out.
