I know its a dream, but I really like the effect!

Anyways, I might just be one of those guys doing a simple HID conversion, with the many kits available.

Or perhaps getting a normal but quality Philips whiter emitting bulbs.
I would probably give it a good 6 months after release like the Golf MK6 GTI, you will tend to notice a lot of performance companies will buy the units and remove the Xenon globe in order to appease the TSI, TDI market.

Fingers crossed i would be interested in this as well.

      (sorry for slow reply)

I was wondering because going by what the VW UK site says when you "build" a Polo GTI... plus the German website info they should be 225s and yes they are the same size as Mk5 golfs (maybe using up excess wheels?), seems strange they would change the Aussie ones (saving money maybe)? I would be asking for the real tyres to be included with mine... :-P (unfortunately not in any position to buy one for now!)

      Just interesting I thought

P.S. Without starting a raging debate, can someone tell me, "Bi Xenon" needs a washer? and low beam only Xenon's don't? Because my partners car has low beam Xenon's from factory and no washers? I understand they both need levellers...

On the "Global" press release, it said that the wheels were 205s.... so maybe the UK site has a type... or maybe they are just getting rid of excess stock... who knows

          Straight from the Germany brochure:

          4 Leichtmetallräder „Denver“ 7 J x 17 mit Radsicherungen, Reifen 215/40 R 17 V
          2), Bremssättel rot lackiert

Oh yes, right you are (went back to the press release rather than remembering from the top of my head). But yeah... they're definitely not the same wheels as the Golf GTI's 17" wheels... although, I doubt 10mm is enough to be make or break.

Yep, German stuff says 215s now, so that is ok, I am sure I have one (PDF) at home from early on, that had 225... and the UK build site defiantly still says "Alloy wheels, 17" 'Monza with 225/45 R 17 tyres and anti-theft wheel bolts" while their PDFs do says 215 now... maybe they planned to use the old golf ones and then reconsidered... I know some of the early speculations put the polo with 225s too... I stand corrected!
Good for us old Polo owners, I like the idea of some 17" in the same style so if they are on 100x5s patterns that would be great!
