Quick question, 77TSI DSG 29k km - my gearbox rattles as I decelerate and has done from day dot. Is this normal.sounds like something's loose. But no performance issues

Fuel line rattling shift it to other clip Worth a try OR wastegate rattle if it hasnt been fixed

...Normal DSG operation of 3rd gear selector sleeve/fork. If there are no performance issues just chill, your all good

Anyone get clunky noises when changing gear in M, never happens with D or S?

It could just be the gears being preselected but if it hasn't always done it, I'd be getting it looked at.

^yeah what Gavs said. Its because its not sure which gear you are going to choose - your human and do what you want (if in 3rd you could go to 2nd or 4th) there is a small clunking sound as it quickly engages the selector sleeve for the required gear.

When in D or S it uses many sensors (like throttle position, engine load, incline etc.) to determine if its going up of down a gear and as a result the change of selector sleave for the gear is done much sooner (all it waits for is for the clutches to swap over)

Car has developed a rattle. Thought it was from the dash somewhere but could be the front seat. Iv heard there can be a issue with the seat. Any one else had this looked at by a dealer? Have ruled out the other rattles from previous TPI like the back seat one ect.

My current problem...totally rude and ignorant drivers who disrespect other peoples property. In the space of 5 days I've got damage to the front and to the rear.

Someone has unkindly reversed into me whilst parallel parked which resulted in the crimping of my new custom plates and I've also been nudged on the rear bar leaving a minor dent and tearing of the vinyl wrap so I can now see white showing through...just so frustrating

Cheers for that. Has the part resolved all seat squeak issues? I will ask them to get the part before my 15K comes up anyway so they can install it when they do the service and hopefully fix the rest of my dam rattles!

I have a rattle coming from the passenger side door while accelerating.

I've already got the center dash rattle (sound actuator issue I believe).

Can anyone tell me what I need to do regarding a warranty repair? Just call, book it in and quite the TPI to them to ensure the fix? The dash rattle is annoying as hell.

I got told that rattles arent really a warranty thing and got an hour out of them but didnt find it.
If you take it in in first 1500k you might get lucky
