I just tested against mobile phone gps up to 65km/h only and its reads about 2 - 3km/h higher than actual speed (although I am not sure how accurate the gps is in the sgs 2). Will check 100km/h next time I am on the freeway.

Generally pretty normal, it's a factor of safety. You can change it through a VCDS cable and VAGCOM but I'm not 100% sure. Either that, or put on bigger wheelssigpic

I did a U-Turn on the road and all of a sudden a Steering Wheel symbol came up on the dash, the steering stiffened and was difficult to control the car, as if there was no power steering....? Any ideas?
I turned the car off and turned it back on and it was working perfectly fine!
Also today, I cannot recall why it happened but it was raining, turned the wipers on and the headlamps on. All of a sudden a Light Symbol turned on on the dash! I turned te lights on off and still was showing on dash with the warning lights... I turned on off car ad worked fine!
Anyone else experience? I will take car to VW first thing Friday (after Aus Day)[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]Matt

Missing tool?
Recently took delivery of my new GTI and was taking a look under the boot compartment at the spare wheel/tool kit etc. I noticed that there appears to be a long compartment slot with nothing in it (to the left of the screwdriver). Looks like it would fit some sort of bar or rod. Was wondering if something is missing or if this is normal?
Can anyone please confirm? Cheers.
