      Ok, motorauthority. First, as someone else said before Detroits vs Denvers. Golf wheels don't fit Polos as far as I know. Second, look at the fog lights - vs |and the headlight housing, they are different from the Polo GTI. Then with the interior shots, looks like a stick shift there not DSG, which is the only option for the Polo. Also, flat bottom steering wheel is standard. If you keep scrolling across their picture gallery you will find other Polo shots are correct but for the GTI they just used the Golf GTI pic hoping they'd get away with it.

      Peace.

          Nope.

          Yes, MkVI Golf has a different PCD to the 6R pog (5x112 vs 5x100) but it wouldn't be too hard to make some Detroits with 5x100. The pictures at the link below seems to suggest that VW used them for motor shows early on;

          La Volkswagen Polo GTI fait son entrée officielle [Genève 2010] | Turbauto

          Yes, that looks like a MkVI Golf GTI fog assembly but from there upwards it's all pog. On the Golf the honeycomb grill looks different to the Polo. eg;

          ...and the door and rear panels are all wrong for it to be a Golf GTI. My guess is that the picture is an early production prototype pog with some franken parts from a Golf and the 5x100 Detroits which maybe they were going to use as standard...who knows?

            Looks like a mix of the two GTI's to me?
            Lower grill def looks like the same as mine, but think the headlight assembly
            looks more like the Polo GTI and the wing mirrors def. look like the Polo range,
            cant see any indicator clear lenses at the front

                Looks like an early artist's rendition/photoshop of what the Polo GTI may look like.
                Take a 3 door povo Polo and add the detroits and front bumper from a Golf GTI.

                Look how big the rear brakes are....

                BTW 17 inch polished Detroits are a factory option (EUD150) on the Polo Gti in Germany

                    its a polo. the rear windows are smaller for the polo. where as the golf is much bigger.

                    it looks like a golf due to the lower grill, but infact that's a polo. you can get the lower grill like the golf.

                        Who doesn't love quoting Jane Austen?! I'm glad I got a discussion going, in the end it doesn't really matter, two gorgeous car imo, I was just being pedantic.

                            Oh and are there many sensors to bypass?
                            It's an ITG Closed Pod intake. Got it 2nd hand from one of the bros in Singapore who only used it for 100km. lol. There are no sensors to bypass because the original tubing containing the sensor is attached to the ITG.
