Hi all, I have the dreaded timing chain rattle in my 77TSI Polo 6R. Can anyone suggest a competent repairer on the Gold Coast? Not looking for a financial rubdown from a dodgy shiatsu. Thanks in advance.

Take it to the dealer especially if it a low k's one as its a known fault and they may treat you Ok if you ask nicely. Ive got one thats only done 25000k and is still Ok

Definitely go to the dealer 1st and see what they say, they may cover parts cost as this should be a lifetime part.

Spoken with 2 dealers this morning and was categorically told no chance of goodwill on an 8 year old vehicle no matter the k's. Anyone know or use a reputable VW repairer on the Gold Coast?

A few people on the forum have recommended Eurotec at Burleigh or if you want to head to Southern Brissie Jmac is a forum sponsor I think.
