Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Knock noise in cabin!

hello, I have recently just bought a 6c Polo Gti and I love the car except there is this knock/rattle that i cant figure out! It only happens when the car shifts weight (over drive-way or bumps) and when accelerating from a stop or braking. It sounds like it's coming from the B-Pillar on the passenger side but i've already inspected that and can't figure it out. Anyone else had similar problems?

This video is a really good reference @ 19sec.

Loosen off the door latch and spray silicone spray between the latch and the inner door surface and re-tighten.

Hi...i have a similar problem and have found that it is the downpipe flexing and hitting the heat shield.
      hope that helps
