I'm over on the 9N3 Polo side of things, but found this 'study guide' into the inner workings of the 1.8 TFSI. I think that's the base version of your EA888 yeah? anyway is an interesting read:

It looks like it's VW enthusiasts forum or more like a blog to me. Not many documents there in english.
