I have had a quick search on here and on the Workshop Manual but can't fiond any specific on the Polo 6R.
Also, as my local Stealership damaged the Car when they did a Lube of the Sunroof, they will not be touching it anymore.
So... I have a slight rattle with Sunroof Closed or Tiltled, worse on rough uneven roads.
However when it is open, partially or fully, the Rattle is rather fn ordinary. Worse on Rough or Uneven Roads but noticeable even on smooth roads. Loud and sounds like someone wants to come in or get out on the roof.
Sun Blind makes no difference open or closed (side point here is the Blind independent of Sunroof is sensational, other marquees of Manufacturers take note)
The Sunroof, doesn't appear to be loose in any location, 3 Bolts either side holding the Window onto frame seem tight but they only have 5.5NM during installation, so I can't even really go to tighten them.
So... the Mechanism, Sliders or Motor may be the culprit, this is not a squeek it is a mechanical tapping noise... knocking noise, a little related to road surface and seems to creak relative (become louder) with the road surface condition.
You can not miss it... not all the time I admit but started to get louder and worse, has been going on for at least a year but only started off intermittently at first.
Has anyone encountered the same issue ?
Has anyone removed the Sunroof Glass Panel before ?
Has anyone found anything wrong that causes the same particular noise ?
Happy to have a go at this but the Manual has no real trouble shooting for it.
I wonder if there is a TPI for it... now where was that webpage that had the links to them ?
