  • 6C GTI 1st and Reverse not smooth

    Hey guys,

I searched this subforum and have only found stuff regarding gears actually grinding. I just recently bought a 6C Polo GTI manual and have done about 1000km on it. I've noticed that putting the car into 1st or reverse takes a little more effort that the other gears. There is a bit of a crunchy feel to the stick when putting into gear, but I dont hear any grinding of the gears and the car drives fine. After putting it into first or reverse, if I leave the clutch in, go back to neutral then put it back into the same gear, it goes in buttery smooth. This is my first manual car and I'm not sure if it's normal. The stick also has a similar feel when going from 2nd to 3rd but not every time. Is this normal or is there something up with my transmission?
