Polo 81tsi air conditioning problem

I recently started driving my wife's polo to work and noticed that the air conditioning doesn't doesn't feel cold after 20 mins of driving. The car is parked in an underground car park and starts out cold but is no longer as cold once engine is up to temp after 20 mins. If the car is parked in the sun in the heat the air cond never gets cold enough to cool the interior.

My wife says that's how is always been and the dealer has checked it but says that's the way it is.

Is this how everyone's air cond is or is there a problem with my air conditioning?

Definitely something wrong with it. Mine gets cold within a couple of minutes and even on a very hot day my wife will be shutting her vent after about 5 to 10 minutes.
