Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

B8 Passat is still relatively new, however the more recent revisions of the 7 speed DSG have certainly been a lot less problematic than the first units that came out in the Mk6 Golf and late B6/early B7 Passat.

I've had my 132TSI Comfortline wagon for over 12 months now, and the DSG has never been any issue whatsoever.

                  Should be a DQ200 Dry.

DQ380 is the replacement of DQ250.

I too had the same question last year but went ahead and bought the 132 TSI last year(October) and have done over 6000Km with no issues at all.I bought the extra 2year warranty as well so nothing to worry for 4.5 years

                        Good choice man good choice.

                        No problem so far.

Only the start stop system seems not like to work.

                        Power consumption is high. LoL

Theres a firmware upgrade for the DSG recently to smooth out the starting process.

You may try that from your dealer

How do you check which DSG version you have? I just completed a 15k km service a month ago and did ask the dealer to update the firmware if there is an update. Most likely they didn't do it.
