Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • SEND HELP! Passat 206 R Line Broke Down! P15007 P15088.

    Hi Guys and Girls,

This morning only a few minutes after leaveing home while waiting at a set of lights, my car just turned off. When I press the start button, it cranked for couple of seconds longer than normal before starting and idling fine. Then after around 5 seconds it will just turn off again. A message appeard on the dash about some fault in the stop start system. I did this a few times, and in the end it would start but idle very rough.

    Car
    2017 Passat 206 R Line
Stage one APR tune (installed about 1 month ago) - everthing else as stock.
Milage: 140k km, with new engine + turbo installed at 65k km (4 years ago).

I Scanned with Carista App and getting fault codes:
    15007
    15088

Anyone have any ideas? I can't find much on these codes, except from a post in an Audi forum suggesting 15007 = P0089 and 15008 = 15008A: S3 8V brake light failure resulting in low fuel pressure + misfires | Audi-Sport.net

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Check your fuel pump; in that Audi thread, it turned out being a bad ground for the low-pressure fuel pump.

I would check powers and grounds at the pump controller under the back seats, that's if the B8 is similar to the older Passats.
