After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Clutch replacement...

    Hi

    I had minor service today and mentioned staff about shuddering while take of (not every time - intermittent).
    After they finish minor service, vw service advised me that they will book another appointment just for clutch replacement - free of charge since car has still 5 months warranty left and also this become on going issues on b8 132 passat.
    I checked recalls and nothing about clutch issue for 132 passat models.
    Is anyone knows what is involved in this job and can dealers can do properly this job?

    Gearbox has to be removed and partially dismantled.

    Any decent dealer tech can do it, providing they follow the workshop manual and use the correct special tools for setting the clearances, etc.
