Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Finally getting my 140kw TDI tune.

    Hey Guys,

I'll be getting my vehicle tune this week by Mark from Recode,
and will keep you guys posted and will post some pictures here if he supply me some dyno info.

Anyone here got their car tune should give me some tips on what to do or what to ask which would be of great help to me.

    Thanks

Finally getting my 140kw TDI tune.

If possible then get a before/after dyno. It the best way to see the actual difference across the complete rev range (not just peak numbers).

Be interested to see the comparison.

Got my car tune yesterday by Mark from Recode, and the car is a lot more powerful than before,
it can even spin the wheels on takeoff if I were to floor it.

I did not do the dyno as it cost an extra $450 bucks but I will get it done when I do a stage 2 tune.

how much did the tune cost you our of curiosity? also did you find any spikes in fuel consumption etc? would love to hear a one month later review! been eyeing off a stage 1 for my wolfsburg alltrack!

It cost me $1,000 bucks without dyno as I see no point in paying an extra $450 just doing dyno for Stage 1 tune.
Stage 2 tune I will want to have a dyno.

I will update the fuel consumption next month but so far can't tell yet.

Trying to upload the image of the invoice, but it is not working. Can anyone help?
As I can do it on the first post but not any post after, maybe there is a special way of doing it
that I'm new to this forum, and someone here might be able to tell me the best way of doing it.

What figures (power and torque) did they quote for after the remap?

Looking forward to seeing how this goes, the only gripe I have with my Alltrack is that at times it doesn't want to accelerate. It's fine in sport mode but revs too much and ultimately still needs more power.
