  • MY18 206 R-Line wagon rear seat pic please?

    Hi all,

I've received my car back from a repair which included removal of the rear seat, and it seems to be missing a bit of trim.

Can anyone take a pic of what it is supposed to look like?

    Thanks,

    Mike.

The repairer never puts back the car all together.

My rear seat was unattached after it’s back from repairing.

In the pic above, see how there is a white metal bit showing above the buckles? I want to see what covers that, because i think something is missing there...

        thanks!

I don't think you're missing it. I think it's been jammed/tucked into either side and instead the fabric should wrap around the metal part. Most likely the right part folds around it. Click image for larger version

Ahh, ok. I'll check that out...

While I was looking for the trim, I found this plastic cover that had been 'modified' to be refit... Not happy but the crash repairer is getting a new one to replace it.

I said to them I don't think it comes from factory like that! lol

            Mike.

Get every part replaced by genuine new part man. It is important!

He may not have that option with his insurer. A lot will replace with "near new" or aftermarket parts and you simply do not have a choice.

What? Why? Insurance company asks to use old parts?

Nope, this was a lazy reassemble. Not part of the repair, but they removed the rear seat and obviously couldn't get this piece to fit, so hacksawed it off and jammed it back in hoping no one would find it.

Still after a pic if anyone can post it up. There doesn't seem to be a covering flap of material as Wynston has suggested, unless the seat has been reassembled and it's pinned behind the seat. Also would just like to see what it looks like for my own reference.

                    Thanks

                    Mike.

It’s a trim beside the seat passenger side.

Should be a plastic cover to cover the joint.

                      Have a look.

                      Cheers.

Perfect, that's what I was after!

Thanks for taking the time to take the pic and post it up.

                        Cheers
