Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Cargo Shelf not retracting when the boot opens.

    Hi all

Are there anyone had the problem of a non retracting cargo shelf?

The cargo shelf should retract in half when the boot opens.

However, after the recent trip to QLD the shelf stopped retracting automatically and it will stuck in the full covered position.

The only way is to push it back manually which is not that pleasant and convenient.

    Any ideas?

    Neal

Have you checked the setting in the menu? Maybe someone turned it off?
    Cheers

      It’s a mechanical thing I believe.

Nothing to do with the computer.

Well, with mine it is a setting in the “Opening and Closing” menu section of the car settings. You can select for the cargo cover to retract (or not) when the tailgate is opened.
        Cheers

          You are totally right.

Never paid attention to that setting but it didn’t do the trick.

However, I cleaned the rails on both sides and the shelf worked again!

Lesson learned today. Clean your lovely cars!

Hmm mine stopped doing this almost right away (it's only just over 4 mths old). Definitely set to retract but isn't. I guess I need to clean the rails. Thanks Neal.

              Well just update you guys.

I cleaned and it was working at the beginning but stopped again this morning.

              Then working again later.

There is no guarantee and i will probably still raise the problem to dealer later.

it's an option in settings. make sure you set it to retract when boot open if that's what you want.

                  It’s a tick man.

                  It’s a mechanical issue.

That’s why I asked and I wonder which part was broken.

Something to keep an eye I'm sure but for my I turned off the auto retract as I don't always need it when just tossing a bag in the boot. Just a gentle flick on the handle as moves as I wish.

This car has quit a lot of quaint things that are quite cool but not needed for myself.

                        Thinking about it.

                        Will try later.

Seems like the rails are dirty.

Visited dealership this week for bunch of warranty repairs.

The technician placed some lubricant inside the rails. It helps a lot.

                          Feels all ok.
