Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Speed sign detection

    Hi all.

After a fantastic Friday at work which finished with Champagne, then a easy dinner with the wife and kids at McDonalds I arrive home to find a speeding fine in the mailbox.
    140km/h in a 110km/h zone. $460 and 4 demerit points.
    I’m spewing!!

How does the Speed sign detection work in our passats?
Can I have it activated in my MY16??

Best ones are the ones on each side of your nose. Where can you do 140 near Mt Cotton

      😂😂😂
I was driving home from Harbour Town late one evening after seeing Deadpool2 at the cinema. 140 on the M1 is easy when there’s no other cars.

The bloody mobile speed camera which they left along the side of the road after Commonwealth games got me 🤬

All i can say is its well deserved Anyone who willfully drives at that speed is looking for all they get. You are probably lucky the limit wasnt still 80 or you would be walking for a while.
Try looking at your speedo occasionally.

Normally depends what equipment you have, also it sounds like there’s a bit of a problem because where your off ramp signs are situated
