Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Am I missing a trim piece?

    This is the underside of the glove box, above where the front passenger's feet would be. There's clearly something missing here. Is it a whole trim piece or just a bolt to attach the soft cover to the car properly? It seems odd to me that it's just soft padding that forms part of the interior trim.

    You are just missing the black plastic plug that goes in the round hole to hold this soft padding section up.
    The soft section hugs the foot air vents and fits snuggly.
    My previous B7 Passats have all had the soft padding sections and my Jetta has it too.

    It has been a while since I owned a B6 Passat so can not comment about what they had...

      Thanks for the quick reply mate. The dealer is already on it! I knew it was nothing major. Just wasn't sure if it was meant to be a whole trim piece or just a bolt or plug as you say.
