Stock exhaust options for the r36 wagon

Hi Guys

I was wondering what results you can get from modifying the stock exhaust on the R36.

The goal is pretty much having a good sound/pop on gear change and a bit more grunt driving around without the excessive drone.

Pretty much just after opinions/advice on the following:

Option A - Removing the res
Option B - Removing the rear mufflers just before the tips
Option C - Removing both the red and rear mufflers

After an opinion on
1. noise /10?
2. is it worth doing at all?
3. what's the drone like?
4. any issues with EPA similar to removing the cat?

Obviously there's nothing better that a straight piped VR6 at full throttle but cruising on the highway you don't want to have to wear earplugs.

I've removed the res and it sounds quite nice however it does introduce a little drone at between 2-3k rpm, noticeable when going uphill accelerating when sitting on 100kph, however i don't mind it. It increases the sound of the dsg fart.

is it safe to say you'd be better off removing the res over the rear mufflers?

Yea for sure, I'd start at the res first, The rear mufflers are straight through.

However it would be interesting to see what it sounds like with the rear mufflers removed and the res in place
