  • R36 sedan springs fit on a B7 1.8L wagon?

    Hi all, new poster here...

Apologies if this has been brought up before but used the search function and didn't have much luck finding the info I wanted.

Am interested in lowering the ride height of my 2011 1.8T Passat B7 Wagon and have the opportunity to pick up a set of used H&R springs for very cheap... Thing is, they are from a B6 Passat 4motion R36 Sedan - Part No. H&R # 54762

Wondering if these springs would these fit on my wagon? I am really only looking to lower the car for aesthetic purposes, not so much performance, and will be able to save a LOT of money and time buying these over the correct springs for my car new.

Will they fit? And more importantly if they do, will they be noticably lower than my stock ride height? I imagine if they do indeed fit they certainly won't be as low on my car as they would on an R36 due to the lighter weight. Looking for a minimum drop of 20-30mm to make it worth it, any less and I won't bother. Ideally after 40-50mm but that is around the drop they would provide the V6 4motion, right?

Just curious as I'm potentially saving hundreds of dollars and shipping time if i do purchase these and can pick them up straight away...

Any help or opinions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

Those springs got sold so I ended up just getting the correct set of H&R springs for my car off of ebay instead. $470 delivered from the UK, not too bad I guess.
