2011 B7 Passat Sedan 125tdi Highline TOWBAR KIT

Hi All,

Has anyone found a towbar kit for a 2011 Passat B7 125tdi Highline?

Searched ebay and most do these for every other model but mine. Also been on hayman reese website and no luck. No aftermarket option?

Was quoted $1004.00 from VW Dealer in QLD.

So pricey.

$1004 is NOT pricey for one for a Passat IF its the right one and the ones above ARE the right ones for fit and appearance

I'm a actually looking to get rid of the one on my 2011 high line as I don't need it and don't like have the extra I'm in Melbourne though

oh thanks. I did check google but no go. one of those sites you gave me didnt have it.

One seems to think you need 'programming' of the CAN BUS trailer unit, why!? just plug the unit in and the car knows theres a towbar there?correct?

haha thanks luke but I dont mind getting a new towbar kit. just wanted to ensure there isn't a much cheaper option here in QLD

I would go with the bottom one as thats the nice one that is quick release and is practically invisible when tongue is detached. Also almost no cutting of the bumper.

Wouldnt trust a dealer to do one like that More likely the rough as guts HR type that they seem to fit. Has been some hairy jobs documented on here with dealer jobs who just farm it out to someone and add on their cut.
