Interior space B6 vs B8

So I'm still struggling to get into the drivers seat of a r36 with a sunroof to see if will in fact be one of the options available to me when I am exploring a car purchase in a month.

I did, however, get into a B8 passat with a sunroof. Also had the R package on it... *drool*

Anyway, struggling to find much information in terms of technical data on interior measurements.

But, if I fit in the B8... can I assume I fit in a B6 or have they changed the inside so much I may as well have sat in a turtle?

Well I'm not sure what the interior of the B8 with R package is like, but depending on the seat position (and how big you are) the R36 isn't exactly the easiest car to get in and out of...
