Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • r36 second hand price

Afternoon all. I was wondering what the going rate is for a 1 owner r36 with 71000ks, 2010 model in mint condition. It has all the bells and whistles but no sunroof.

    Cheers

Check the used market for similar ones.

Prices on these tend to vary wildly from mid-teens to low 30s.

Low-kilometer MY10.5s, with all the fruit and a perfect service history are the pick of the bunch, and tend to command a bit more money.

Although people are still paying silly money for trashed MY08s with 150K+ kms on them.

As per Umai Naa!! info - also check reason for seller selling the car - eg. if they are upgrading cars due to end of lease - put a bit of pressure on them for a better price - eg. suss out redbook (private sale price guide)- and also what finance may owe them - also check out what servicing is required and has been done to date - inspection a must. Seller would be getting done over on a trade in generally. Also Rev's check. Check out other similar condition cars as well. Also get an insurance quote to see if insurance will insure for what you will be paying if this over the market price.

        Hi Wattos
After looking for several weeks I recently bought a 10.5 wagon. As others have said prices do vary a fair bit. Initially I was after one with sat nav and Bluetooth primarily but in the end the one I bought didn't have either, as the car was in excellent condition with service history plus it had a sunroof, adaptive cruise control and front assist. After reading through these forums I figured I could retro fit the sat nav and Bluetooth anyway (Bluetooth this week).

Depending on the options fitted, I would say mid to high 20's for a 2010 wagon with good history.

I wish! I ended up trading my 58000km 2008 wagon for $19000 after having it advertised for a month or so at $25000 without any interest other than $19000 offers.

As much as owners would like a good price on their beloved rides they are not fetching that much these days. Sad but true

I would say unless you have extremely good options and an MY10.5 and/or exceptionally low km's pretty much no R36 is commanding more than $30k now. The great ones will be very high 20's, going right down to low 20's or below for undesirable ones like MY08, ones with no options or high km examples. From what I've seen the price varies very wildly because everyone wants one to be kitted up.

Mine would be considered on the desirable side being well optioned and the right combo, except my km's are a bit higher than many at 115kms. If I were to sell it tomorrow (And I won't ) I'd sell some of my aftermarket parts like the iPE separately and be happy to take mid-high 20's.
