The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • B6 Passat PD stalled won't re-start

    Hi

My Passat TDI PD decided to stall in my driveway whilst I was waiting for the garage door to open. Tried to re-start with no joy. The low fuel light had just come on but was still showing 100km range. Added approx 15 litres of diesel but still no joy. Tried disconnecting battery to reset ECU but no luck either. Have tried cranking for 45 sec or so battery is fine but refuses to fire. Suspect maybe fuel pump or fuel system needs bleeding?

Has had all injectors and wiring harness replaced previously. No warning lights before it stalled.

Any other suggestions, will get it towed to Volkwerke in the morning.

Interesting that in the US VW cover the HPFP for 10 years or 120,000 miles. We get dudded here.

Got diagnosis one injector shorted and took out wiring loom same issue as happened previously when all four were done. This is my last VW I don't care how good the cars are they are ticking time bombs. If VW had any decency they would offer ten years warranty on items like this like they do in the US
