Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • R36 Titanium Exhaust

Did some researching and found that jiajun-exhaust.com makes a full titanium cat back for the R36

Made in China and they make exhausts for all different European cars

Weld quality looks good I think, not sure how it will sound though

    ~ $2k AUD

See pics the manufacturer sent me

Weld quality does look good. Do they have any sound clips of their systems?

        Does that include shipping?

Are you tempted to have a local shop fabricate something custom for you instead? You could work with them to refine the sound you're looking for..

I would just get one custom made with generic mufflers rather than try a Chinese one with nobody who has actually fitted it. You'll get a better product, imo. But the price is not insane so I guess you could give it a go.
