  • R36 wipers won't release

    Hey all

I have noticed that sometimes when I go to the car wash the wipers don't release when I turn the car off meaning I can't pull them up and away from the windshield to wash them and the window properly. I've tried everything. Turning the car on/off, turning the wipers on/off, leaving the keys in, leaving ignition on. None of that works. Then I drive 5 mins down the road to my house and park in my drive way and the wiper releases without me doing anything apart from turn off!

Anyone experienced something similar? It's a little annoying...

    Thanks

If you are referring to being able to raise the wiper arms for when you hand wash your car, then read the manual...

From memory, turn ignition off, then push down on wiper stalk and wipers will move across the windscreen to the service position.

Then just lift them up from the windscreen!

Thanks mate. I didn't even think to check the manual. Worked perfectly.
