Passat R36 Allianz 36 month Extended Warranty Quotes

Hi guys,

I have a 2009 R36 with 27k on the clock. The factory warranty ends in January 2013 and I am considering extending it. What are my options? (I am in Melbourne). It would be great to know what costs I'm looking at before calling around to get quotes. Thanks in advance!

I got quoted $2380/ for that. It differs from the other Allianz one as it doesn't cover the whole car (below is an extract of the PDS):

Wheels, tyres, paintwork, panel and body work
and their components, including but not limited
to; handles and hinges, sunroof panels, antenna,
lamps and lamp units, weatherstrips and seals,
components made of glass and/or trim or decorative
components.

15. Interior trim components including, but not limited
to; seats and seat mechanisms, seat belts, carpets,
cup holders and ashtrays, components made of
glass and/or decorative components.

16. Exhaust system components including mufflers,
pipes and catalytic converters.

Swann & AVEA came in cheaper but they've got limitations on servicing requirements and limited cover as well (Ownership transfer is not simple in the AVEA one). My car is due for renewal in Jan 2013 as well. I'm still contacting a few and trying to get them to price match quotes.

Update:

I finally managed to price match on the cheapest quote I could get after months of hunting around.
$2727.27 for a new car extended warranty by Allianz for 36mth/75,000km extension from Jan 2013 @ Klosters VW where I purchased my R36.
Ineedwarrantynow.com.au was the 2nd best quote i managed to haggle at $2795/.

I contacted a few of the guys mentioned in here almost a year ago and never chased it up. Now with my 3 year period coming up for expiry, I see the prices they are asking

And it would most likely be more now as the last post was in November!

From memory, you can only renew your extended car warranty (new) if it hasn't lapsed?

Ask Allianz but the extended warranty has to be bought through someone Cant be done direct from Allianz

Spoke to Kerry from leaseworks and the AVEA one is $1k less than the Allianz New Vehicle Warranty. In the process of revising the pds's now

So best price I have got is $2660 for the Allianz New Vehicle Extended Warranty from a broker. Pretty surprised with this as their initial quote was $3600! Bit a haggling can work wonders sometimes

Still waiting to hear back from Kerry to see if she can beat that but sounds pretty decent to me.

a dealer in nsw gave me a quote of 2800 fo 2 year vw warranty. was yours 2 years vw warranty underwritten by allianz?

It's the VW 'factory' warranty, but ultimately underwrittern by Allianz.
