I asked an independent DSG specialist regarding that and he advised me that a weeping from the DSG case indicates on of the following:
- higher transmission fluid pressure casued by incorreclty filled DSG or
- mechatronics unit on the way out
He has also mentioned that a leak from the top DSG filter could be indication of either. I had a little of that happening but it has since stopped. As far as the DSG fluid replacement goes I was present during the transmission fill (by another mechanic) about 6 months ago. I know that he filled 5 litres then observing the correct fluid temp. drained the case so it can be overfilled. I guess I haven't got the "usual" mechatronic failure symptoms either?
Before the weep I had some slight issues (with the DSG) happening at gearing down, before stopping and DSG adaptation was
performed. The weep from the DSG was then observed a couple month later during a routine engine oil change but that could just be a pure coincidence. Could the adaption have somehow have caused the weep? Ahh, and the DSG adaptation failed at (can't remember exactly) module 62? Any thoughts?
