Just recently purchased some new tyres since Bridgestone had a promotion of 4 for the price of 3 at Bridgestone tyre fitter. 3 tyres were successfully changed but one rim left bare after the value on the TPMS was damaged (questionably by them, but thats another story
).
So looks like a new TPMS is required to be ordered. Got a quote from VW (1K0 907 255C), and the price was a hefty $320. Whilst the part number VW provided doesn't seem to match (1K0 907 225B - different frequency), I'd assume the price would be in the same ball park.
Has anyone tried to purchase a replacement valve from Ebay or second hand TPMS and had them installed and operating successfully?
Cheers
