lol steve, if yr getting $110 and i'm getting $115, who's having a day off?

My mention of the $115 was in reference to the records recently set. thank god we have a strong aussie dollar to partially offset it, otherwise, we'd all be paying as much as $2.50/litre!!

What, they only give you 25% off? Gee, that'll cut their profit margin by nearly half !!

Only kidding, but certainly nice if you can get that sort of "discount".

100% off = work for a company that has a fuel card

I've only got to put fuel in my wifes car (but that technically makes the Passat hers too)

Back on track...I worked out today that my TDI will save me around $600 for 20,000kms over my old Mazda 6 (95RON), even with the higher pump price.
Amazing what a saving of 2+ l/100kms makes!
Best thing though is the range...800+kms in city traffic.

Those are the reasons I bought a Diesel... I did same and came up with a similar saving compared to a 2lt petrol vehicle.

So nice to get below $90.00 for a tank of juice again... Pity that Diesel has not come down the same amount as petrol!

Diesel down 45c from its peak and petrol is down about 75c from its peak.

I was getting diesel cheaper than ULP in Feb this year... it wat 136c WTF!

I'm going for the diesel for all the good reasons plus when i go to sell the car in a few years time I reckon it will be 100% easier and also expect it have higher retained value. no doubt in a few years time fuel will be much higher.

Still waiting on 125tdi wagon ..... ordered june , "lucky" to get it before christmas .
