Funnily enough im using Remsa pads in both my VW's with OEM disks and they are completely silent at all times and far less dusty than the stock pads.

To the OP, i would definitely recommend the Remsa pads if mated to OEM disks - they are brilliant. No noise, much less dust, disks last longer.

sorry i should have re-read my post
the QFM pads had squeal but no dust
the remsa pads had no noise but horrible dust
all above pads were put on brand new dba slotted rotors

i re-iterate that i would stay away from remsa as the dust is worse than stock pads

Remsa seem to give hugely varying results. I find it hard to believe either party(s) are mistaken so I wonder what causes the variation? Slotted discs?

no idea why the difference.i had them on my subaru forester with slotted/drilled rotors and were terrible regards dust. i had them on my calais with oem rotors, same result. i have them on the front of my wifes mazda 323,standard oem rotors, terrible also.i get a chewing out everytime she washes her car. whereas i had QFM on my calais after i got rid of the remsa and they were fine. i put the QFM on the rear of my wifes 323 and they are fine.
                cheers
