Full service details please.

Hope everyone is well I just purchased a 2010 R36 it has done 50kms.

I would like to do a full major service to change everything, can someone with technical info please provide me with all part number of fluids and so on...that I should be using.

First I will apologize for asking this question because I did find some of the info but I didn't understand it.

Example of what I am after...

Engine oil = amount and part number.
Gearbox, diff and so on...

Please list everything needed to be done for major service.

Prompt reply is appreciated as I refuse to drive the car before I do all of the above mentioned.

50km?.....service is every 15.....did it have a 45k? Next service at 60k which is engine oil and filter. DSG oil and filter. Spark plugs and pollen filter..possible brake fluid every 2 years. Fuel filter is in tank and not changed (unless you want to spend $300) Air filter at 45k. Heldex oil every 3 years....(special tools required for DSG change).....VDUB....

That's all genuine retail pricing through my local dealership.

Most of it you can get elsewhere cheaper (particularly the DSG oil) through other specialist European parts suppliers such as Tooley Imports, HSY, and Imparts. Depending on who answers the phone, you may have to bend the truth and tell them you're from a workshop.

Also, as far as I'm aware, you can only get the spark plugs through Volkswagen. Neither Bosch, nor Beru have a listing for them. They're a specific long-thread platinum plug.

Best call first and check availability. Worst case, parts are no more than a day or two away at a warehouse in most capital cities.

As I said, definitely ring the three places I mentioned about parts, too. They're all stockists of OEM-manufactured parts (not genuine, but re-branded, and good quality. Not Ryco, etc rubbish).

As mentioned before, you'll need a DSG filler hose, and a Tom Thumb fluid pump bottle to do the Haldex oil. Everything else is pretty straightforward, and plenty of info on the web about them. It helps that there's minimal variation the R36 across all markets.

No service interval on the cam chain, but the timing belt is due every 105,000kms or 7 years.

I'd say you'd be looking around $1000 for an independent to do it, give take $100 or so.

Worth giving Miro (Transporter on here) a ring, and see what he can do.

Would like to tamper with some of the settings and do system checks my self down the road.
