Checkout inside your fuel lid. I normally go around 270 kpa for the PS3's on our TDI (without any load or passengers in the car).

When using an electronic pump at any local service station, I can hit the "Unit of Measure" [i], button to get kpa.

The pressures mentioned on the placard are a little too conservative as far as good tyre life goes.

Really? Is it better to go a little higher? I always thought they seem a bit soft.

Yeah, I'd be aiming for the high 30s.

It is a personal choice. It depends on the type / feel of ride you prefer. Most tyre places suggest a minimum of 36psi all round for an unladen car for suburban driving. Higher if the car is loaded or travelling at sustained high speeds.

The tyre placard is a good place to start.

I personally use 38psi for the burbs.

OK cool, 270kpa ~= 39psi. So the OP should aim for around 36 - 39psi for their PS3's?

Don't forget hot/warm tyres will give you a higher reading than cool ones & usually servo gauges have had a tough life & are unreliable...
