Should I disconnect the batteries or not

Am going overseas till end of June. Cars sitting in garage unused till then.

Should I disconnect the batteries.

We did the same 2 years ago and didnt and both started Ok on return.

However they were new then and are now 3 years old.

Don't want to stuff batteries but don't want to lose settings in the cars, especially the Passat.

What do the experts reckon.

3 years old battery can die any time.

I just ordered a ctek mxs 7.0 battery charger as I dont drive my R36 too often recently. Maybe you can do the same for piece of mind.

Wont be doing that as its a oncer A Ctek is as dear as a new battery

Just lock the cars (less power draw) and take your chances.

Leave the windows open a few mm so the cars don't get stinky / mouldy in the humidity. Maybe even put a carton of Damp Rid or whatever it is on the floor.

Pump the tyres up to 45-50psi

They should be plastic fuel tanks so maybe go against the old fashioned way & have less fuel rather than more so that you can top up with fresh fuel on your return.

Well I don't drink , Havent been caught by the cops so I guess its a holiday Firstly in cold Canada then East coast and South USA.

Hope to see Elvis and Michael Jackson so may have to start drinking LOL

Yes I know a out them I used to have a Ctek 7500 when I was 4wding.

As far as I know they all have supply mode
