Anyone successfully got their mirrors to fold when you lock the car? Tried to have a search but couldn't see anything definitive. I know that you can manually do it if the ignition is still on but it would be good to have it do it automatically.

No you cant but there was a thread on the GTI forum with a Youtube on how to do it on an overseas Golf.
Would certainly be handy if you could as I reverse into garage and wifes car is always fairly close so I always retract them.

Yeah, it's crazy isn't it. Why not just have them do it automatically if you have the knob turned around to the mirror fold function on the switch!! Yea, its not possible in the VWs.. Peugeot 508 offer the option BUT when the car is unlocked the mirrors open again..
I don't think that's good because if the car is driven and parked close to a pole or wall etc. the mirror will open into it..MY11 B7 Passat 125TDi Highline

My Schkoda has it and happy as a broken mirror nearly cost me fortune on my Prado.
As for the above comment, if it folds out into a pole/wall then you either would have hit it on the way in or someone put it there while you were gone

The mirror can be closed manually to squeeze in to a tight space then remains closed when the car is locked. When the car is unlocked the mirror will automatically open..MY11 B7 Passat 125TDi Highline
