used passats on the market

Hi Guys,

I am looking at buying a late model second hand Passat, I notice that there are a large number of MY12.5 on the market at the moment with around 30,000km on them, all via dealers and in all states. Coinsidence?

I am thinking ex rental car fleet? I am told by a couple dealers that these are ex VW Corporate cars, but then they are vauge on how they were used.

Can anyone shed any light on the background of these cars?

Mine is a MY12.5 with 48k less than 2 years old. Very good car in terms of handling, economy.
Downside is the DPF if you drive short distance but if not nothing to worry about. Pulls hard at lights and motorway. I have with sports pack
