Cost of replacement keys

We've misplaced not one but both keys to the R36, any idea on what the replacement cost is and how to go about sourcing?

From memory you have to go to a VW dealership and the cost is around $400 or so.

$400 or so each, plus programming.

Not only will you need the remote fobs, you'll need the emergency key blades as well. Plus you will have to factor in towing to the dealership for programming.

I remember my golf 6 being quoted at more than that, so that is good if $400 for a more complex (prox) key.

Check your insurance. I know my policy allows for replacement keys. Excess is much lower than the std theft/crash one too.
